Federation Uni are running a small mammal/reptile pitfall trap survey at the property Nanya during November or late October.
Dates and duration are unknown at this stage, but please register if you are interested in assisting with this project. It will entail very early morning excursions out to the trap sites, measuring, weighing and recording whatever falls into the traps, then releasing them back into the wild before the heat of the day. May also comprise evening site visits to prepare for the next nights victims.
Many of the critters will be nocturnal, and prefer shelter during hotter days, so work needs to be early morning and evening, with free time during the day.
Further information will be relayed as it becomes available. Depending on numbers attending it might be a camp rather than the bunkhouses.
